As a trio with over 80 years of combined performing behind them - Looking For Lester is made up from U.S. Army band member Paul to acclaimed French/ Mexican songwriting award winner Fabrice, and Berklee School of Music graduate Greg.  Their sound is ripe and fresh featuring Johnny Cash, James Taylor, Elton John, Jamie Cullum, Chris Isaak, Jack Johnson, John Mayer, The Monkees, Bare Naked Ladies, Paul Simon and many more.  Listen, move to the sound and enjoy.........then ask them where is the drummer?

 

3:30pm - 6:00pm    The Kelly Bell Band

Based out of Baltimore, The Kelly Bell Band have been voted "Best Blues Band" (Music Monthly) for ten years in a row and "Best Band in Baltimore" (City Paper) two years running. For the past six years, The KBB has been successfully touring the east coast gaining rabid fans in every market from Greenville, North Carolina to Boston, Massachusetts. In addition to playing some of the best venues in the business, the Kelly Bell Band has shared the stage with such famous artists as James Brown, Matchbox 20, Better Than Ezra, G-Love and Special Sauce, SR-71, Jimmie's Chicken Shack, Cracker, Slash, Bobby Parker, Bo Diddley, Foghat, Buddy Guy, Bobby "Blue" Bland, James Cotton, Buckwheat Zydeco, and Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown. The live show is a musical marathon second to none! As Kelly Bell is fond of saying, "If you didn't come here to shake it and get down, you're in the wrong place!"

You might have seen the David Bach Consort perform at the historic Blues Alley, Jazzmatazz with BB King, Washington's Taste of DC or the Rossylyn Jazz Festival. They have performed at Baltimore's Jazzy Summer Nights at City Hall, Artscape, Virginia Wine Festival, and the Lancaster Jazz Festival. Tune into BET International's popular broadcast "Jazz Central" and see them perform their music live, from Window On The West and 5thousand Words or hear them on National Radio. The David Bach Consort is a spirited eclectic group of artists that excites crowds with their unique musical entertainment.

 

 

 

4:00pm - 6:00pm  The Players Band

 

 The Players Band is an 8-piece ska band formed in Baltimore in 1999. The Players' musical style combines Jamaican ska, rock, and reggae, and is characterized by the use of upbeat horns and percussion. The band has played over 350 live shows in various states, including; Maryland, Pennsylvania, Washington, DC, New York, Delaware, New Jersey, Long Island, and Virginia. The Players have performed with acts such as Grammy Award Winner The Isley Brothers, Grammy Award Winner Toots & the Maytals, The B-52's, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Joe Strummer, The English Beat, Third Eye Blind, Citizen Cope, Fishbone, The Toasters, The Skatalites, The Pietasters, The Aggrolites, The Slackers, Rebirth Brass Band, Big D and the Kids Table, The Know How, King Django, The Scofflaws, Westbound Train, Eastern Standard Time, Junkyard Band and many others.

Join Cary Chef Todd Mohr as he brings his own brand of humor and knowledge in de-mystifying written recipes. Join Chef Todd Mohr as he brings his own brand of humor and knowledge in de-mystifying written recipes. Instead of demonstrating a specific recipe, Chef Todd Mohr teaches basic cooking method that you can easily replicate at home.  In this seminar, Chef Todd will address how to make flavorful sauces by deglazing hot sauté pans with wine.  You’ll learn the three necessary steps in a basic sauté cooking method.  You’ll also see how to tell when to turn an item over in the pan, and how to tell when it’s completely cooked.  Finally, you’ll learn how to raise those brown bits on the bottom of the pan, the pan “fond”, to make a flavorful sauce for the item just cooked.
