2:00 - 4:00pm                 The Swingin' Richards

Don't miss The Swingin' Richards as they take the stage for a rockin' good time. They are sure to throw down some great jams to keep the day full of fun music and fun times.

 

4:30-7:00 PM          PART TIME BLUES BAND

Part-Time Blues Band is the second to none in the Blues and Blues/Rock field of music. Don't be fooled by their down-to-earth and somewhat laid-back appearance-their musical delievery is the most dynamic and energetic in the Carolina area. Vintage and contemporary blues dominates the PART-TIME BLUES BAND'S song list, covering artists such as B.B. King, Willie Dixon, Freddie King, Muddy Waters, and Albert King. Rounding out the Blues/Rock category are cover tunes by Stevie Ray Vaughn, Allman Brothers, Jimi Hendrix, and Eric Clapton.

Join her as she teaches you had to easily feed a large number of people and how to prepare and shop to make this easier on yourself.

1:00pm Wine Tasting with Wines for Humanity

 

Come see Amanda as she represents Wines for Humanity in a Wine Tasting. Her seminar will teach people how to properly taste wine in order to get the most enjoyment and flavor out of it. Wines for Humanity help by giving a portion of their proceeds from every tasting to a local organization to help in the prevention of homelessness for families. 

 

 2:00pm Forgotten Foods

Join Richard as he cooks up some fun and gives you the inside scoop on all the great things happening in and around Charlotte including regional specialties paired with wine from North Carolina. You do not want to miss this stand out seminar as he makes some tasty treats for you to try! 

 

 
3:00pm RagApple Lassie Vineyard Wine Tasting

 

One of Charlottes oldest landmarks, Lavecchia’s Seafood Grille and RagApple Lassie Vineyards, one of North Carolina’s best known wineries are teaming together to offer an eye opening experience that will excite and entice your taste buds.   Executive Chef, Mike Rayfield will prepare certain of his signature seafood dishes to be paired with select RagApple Lassie wines.  Don’t miss out on a very entertaining demonstration that will leave you content and educated. 

The following will be paired for the event:

Shellfish Ceviche a combination of shrimp, scallops, and lump crab in pineapple citrus paired with pinot gris

Seasame crusted Ahi Tuna, red onion confit, and wasabi cream sauce paired with merlot

Petite crab cake, remoulade, and corn maque choux paired with Kaleidoscope Gold

Tenderloin Au Poive, roquefort taziki slaw, and  blueberry rhubarb sauce paired with Rockford Red

Mango sorbet, fresh fruit, Chambord whipped cream, and mint paired with Booneville Blanc

 

 

4:00pm Upstream Restaurant Menu Tasting

5:00pm Zink American Kitchen Menu Tasting

 

Zink American Kitchen featuring Chef de Cuisine Tom Dyrness will be hosting this awesome live cooking demo where they will give you the scoop on all the tasty treats their restaurant has to offer. You don't want to miss Chef Dyrness and another one of Charlotte's Top Restaurants right here at the Gourmet Live Theater. Zink. American Kitchen offers a hip, urban vibe restaurant in the heart of the city’s Southpark neighborhood.   Located at The Village at Southpark, Zink features a unique menu of traditional comfort foods with a twist. Chef de Cuisine Tommy Dyrness puts his own spin on things by using locally sourced ingredients for seasonal dishes and preparing them in Zink's wood-fired ovens.
