Deeana Bogart

After interning in western swing and R&B with
Cowboy Jazz and Root Boy Slim, Bogart has fronted her own tight ensemble for over fifteen years. Playing dazzling piano and soulful saxophone, Deanna’s added the energy of boogie-woogie, contemporary blues, country, and jazz to create a unique fusion of musical styles. Her vocals and songwriting are as full of vitality as her playing – savvy, sensuous, and deep.

A GOOD NATURED RIOT

It's difficult to find the right words to describe A Good Natured Riot, but that dosn't stop their legions of fans from coming out to see them. These five acoustic musicians have come from all over the map - geographically and musically - to create a truly inspired sound. Some have described their it as folk-funk. Some say it's "ecleticgrass" infused with some jazzy soul. But all seem to agree: it's a lot of fun.
The band performs with a variety of musical instruments - from guitars and fiddles to dobro and even a washboard to add to the fun. Punctuated by tight harmonies and percussive textures, A Good Natured Riot has found a unique groove all their own. To figure out your own description, you'll just have to experience them for yourself.
2:00pm- 3:45pm
The Jack Diamond - Jim Steed Band

The Jack Diamond - Jim Steed Band has been playing live music in the Mid Atlantic for the past 16 years. The band has shared the bill at major venues with Elton John, Paul Simon, The Moody Blues and many others. They have shared the stage and played with Bon Jovi, Fleetwood Mac, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Stevie Wonder and others. Jack Diamond will join The Beach Boys on stage at Wolftrap this summer.
Fronted By Jack Diamond, Jim Steed and Lisa Anne, and joined by talented and well-traveled musicians Sammy Blair, Jeff Bean and Wayne Harrelson, the band plays a wide variety of music. Sets may include a Motown Medley, Green Day, Beatles, Moody Blues and Katy Perry. Truly a "Mix" of music, like you'd hear on Jack Diamond's highly rated Morning Radio Show. Original songs are mixed with Sheryl Crow & Pink, Bon Jovi & Journey, and many more great artists and songs from the 60s to today. Dance or just relax and listen. We look forward to playing for you! Thanks!!
4:00pm - 6:00pm
The Sauce Boss

Bill Wharton (Sauce Boss) has cooked gumbo on stage for over 160,000 for free. He mixes his own spicy original music--Florida Slide Guitar Blues--and adds his famous Liquid Summer hot sauce right into every night's cooking demonstration of his own gumbo recipe. It's a multi-sensory soul shouting picnic of rock and roll brotherhood. And at the end of the night, everybody eats.
